When East Meets West

Back to work after 5 days of being at home. I don't really like my new desk because it's slightly smaller, and the partition beside me makes the space smaller.

Rui cooked 酸菜汤

Tomatoes, lettuce, haloumi, mushrooms and sliced ham.
Cooked this for Rui because he wanted more vegetables and lesser meat in his meals.

Oven-ready garlic bread with extra herbs.

Beef curry and rice for lunch tomorrow! :)

Ron Mueck

Its 12:10am but I'm still awake because Rui's watching the match between Germany and England. I believe that Germany will win :P

We've finally went to Ron Mueck's exhibition at the Gallery of Modern Art / Queensland Art Gallery at Southbank. Tickets are priced at $12.00 for adults which, I think, is quite reasonable. I've known about Ron Mueck's sculptures since a few years back, but didn't know that the man behind all these is a genius -- a true artist. All of them are so life-like, we just can't stop staring at the details!

My most loved piece - "A Girl"

"Woman with Sticks"

"Dead Dad"
As stated in FB, I had to sensor the little bits just in case I get in any trouble :)

"Old Woman In Bed"

"Two Women" and "Wild Man"

"In Bed"

5.5 more hours to go till I wake up and get ready for work... It's going to be another week. Oooh OOH!!!! Mummy's coming in August till September!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!

I...

Worked from home
(because my manager asked me to do so as the office is being revamped today)

Cooked

Organized the bills

and cleaned the house before Rui came back from work!

Loving Silverlight already.

Father's Day

I still remember making cards for daddy during birthdays and special days like these. When he left us 11 months ago, I opened the drawer beside his bed and saw the cards in stacks. I never knew that he kept them. One of the cards had a picture of daddy carrying me when I was... maybe one year old? ... and it wrote "You are the best daddy in the world".

Happy Father's Day ♥

Sunday Outing

Had brunch with Charlene and Benson in Sunnybank. Went to Myer after that as she wanted to buy something for her mum. Hung out at Hazel Tea Shop in the city and played cards (chor tai di to be exact)... never won a game! We kept losing to the husband and wife team :)

Just noticed this braille sign :)

Came home and started cooking dinner and tomorrow's lunch. Heated up the beef rendang mummy cooked when she was here in Brisbane. YEP, we kept it in the freezer and it's still edible. Suddenly Rui asked "when is mummy coming again? :) "...

Hard-to-get home made beef rendang :)

Stir fried broccoli and shiitake mushrooms

Sam Stosur lost :( Watched the match last night... gerammmm
5 more days - Melbourne.

Display Homes

Drove down south to look at more houses...

We know that they have his and hers sinks and wardrobes, but this?
First time seeing two shower heads in one bathroom.

Open plan bathroom/toilet in the master bedroom is so common now...
... what if your neighbours see you?
... what if you forgot to lock the door
and your parent(s)/brother/sister/kids ACCIDENTALLY came in?
:P

Most loved!

Tiring day... once again. If I were to have AUD850,000... then this will be mine. The highest price for a display home was AUD1.05million. Mummy asked me over the phone just now, "Do you still try your luck with lottery tickets?" ... YES, OF COURSE. Hahaha!

These Jeans Are Made For Wearing
